# 1.2.1 Cross-chain asset transactions are limited

### Currently, most DEX are based on Ethereum development and support trading in currencies that meet ERC20 standards. 

Therefore, for the present time, the development of DEX is closely related to the future development of Ethereum platform. If a DEX wants to develop greatly, the crosschain transaction design should be included in its consideration.
